Terms of Service
Last updated:
The terms for using SkrinAI’s design tools, AI features, and paid subscriptions.
Draft for pre-launch review. Bracketed TODOs identify details that must be confirmed before launch.
1. Acceptance of terms
These terms govern use of SkrinAI. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If acting for an organization, you must have authority to agree on its behalf.
Your agreement is with [TODO: Add legal entity name, country/state of registration, and business address], the operator of the SkrinAI product.
2. Eligibility and registration
Provide accurate account information and keep it current. You may register with email and password or use supported Google sign-in.
[TODO: Confirm minimum age and contractual eligibility requirements before launch.]
3. Account security
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and activity you authorize through your account. Do not share credentials or attempt to access another person's account. Report suspected unauthorized access through the contact channel below. Use session controls to revoke sessions you no longer recognize.
4. The SkrinAI service
SkrinAI provides tools for uploading assets, creating and editing designs, and using AI for design generation, image analysis, image generation, and background removal. Features depend on the selected plan, available usage, and enabled capabilities. Some features use third-party services.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal
Paid plans provide the features and usage allowances shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Review the price, currency, taxes, and monthly or annual billing interval before subscribing. Annual billing does not mean an annual AI credit window.
Polar handles checkout and subscription billing. Recurring subscriptions renew at the selected interval unless cancelled or ended. Payment-provider terms may also apply. Payment failures or a subscription ending can affect paid access.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Open Settings → Subscriptions and choose Manage billing and cancel to access the Polar customer portal. Review the cancellation confirmation and effective date there. Cancellation stops future renewal; a cancellation scheduled for period end keeps paid access until the effective end, subject to these terms and the subscription remaining active. Immediate termination or revocation ends paid access when effective.
Cancelling does not delete your account or content and does not by itself issue a refund. [TODO: Confirm the production Polar cancellation configuration before launch.]
[TODO: Confirm refund eligibility, request method, time limits, treatment of used credits, and handling through Polar before launch.] Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. AI credits and usage limits
Plans include specified AI credits or usage allowances. Different actions consume different amounts based on the processing involved; image operations and multi-step AI requests may consume more than simpler requests. Usage can include model processing and supporting AI operations, not only the final output.
Current credit windows last 30 elapsed days. A window starts when an AI operation reserves usage and no active window exists. After expiry, a new window starts with the next such operation. These windows run independently of subscription billing dates, including annual subscriptions. Unused allowances do not roll over or accumulate.
Credits may be reserved while requests run and settled against recorded usage. A request that fails or is cancelled may still consume credits for processing already performed. You may need to wait for a new usage window or select an eligible plan when limits are reached. Current usage and window information are available in account settings.
8. Changes to plans and pricing
Plan offerings, prices, and usage limits may change prospectively, subject to applicable law and the terms shown for your subscription.
[TODO: Confirm notice periods, effective dates, and treatment of existing subscriptions before launch. Do not apply undisclosed retroactive changes.]
9. Acceptable use and prohibited activity
Use SkrinAI only for lawful purposes and content you are authorized to process. Do not:
- Upload or generate unlawful content, exploitative sexual content involving minors, or material that violates others' privacy or intellectual-property rights.
- Use the service for fraud, impersonation, harassment, or distributing malware.
- Bypass authentication, security controls, usage limits, or payment requirements; access other users' content without authorization; or disrupt the service.
- Submit confidential or personal information without the permissions or other legal authority needed to share it with the service and necessary processors.
10. Your content and the processing license
You retain your ownership rights in content you upload. SkrinAI does not acquire ownership of your screenshots, images, prompts, or other assets merely because you use the service. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and process that content.
You grant SkrinAI a non-exclusive license limited to storing, copying, processing, transforming, transmitting to required service providers, and displaying your content back to you, solely as necessary to operate and provide the service. This includes generating requested results and maintaining your saved work. It does not grant a general right to sell your content, use it in advertising, or claim ownership of it.
Retention and removal are described in the Privacy Policy. The limited processing license does not promise immediate deletion from every system.
11. Platform intellectual property
Rights in SkrinAI's software, branding, and platform materials remain with their respective owners. Your subscription permits use of the service under these terms; it does not transfer ownership of the platform. Third-party assets, fonts, and materials remain subject to their applicable licenses.
12. AI-generated content and limitations
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or unexpected. Review generated designs, text, and images before publishing or relying on them. You are responsible for your use of outputs and for checking necessary rights, permissions, accuracy, and suitability.
Outputs may not be unique; other users may receive similar or identical results. SkrinAI does not guarantee that output is copyrightable, exclusive, or free of third-party intellectual-property claims. Any rights in output depend on applicable law, your input rights, and applicable provider terms. SkrinAI does not claim ownership of your uploads through AI processing.
AI requests may be processed by third-party AI and service providers as necessary to supply the requested features. [TODO: Review output-rights language against the applicable provider contracts before launch.]
13. Third-party services
Authentication, payments, AI processing, storage, email, and optional analytics depend on third-party services. Their availability, limitations, and applicable terms can affect features. See the Privacy Policy for current provider categories and integrations.
14. Service availability
Features may be interrupted by maintenance, failures, or provider outages. No specific uptime or uninterrupted availability is promised here. Keep independent copies of content you need; access to paid features depends on an eligible active subscription.
15. Suspension, termination, and removal
Access may be restricted or suspended to address misuse, security threats, payment or entitlement issues, or legal requirements. [TODO: Confirm suspension/termination grounds, notice and appeal procedures, and content-removal policy before launch.]
Subscription cancellation, account termination, and data deletion are different actions. Account deletion is not currently available as a self-service feature. Some assets referenced by AI history cannot currently be deleted. See account and data deletion for limitations and outstanding procedures.
16. Disclaimers
AI limitations and availability constraints are described above. You must assess whether results meet your needs. No provision here excludes warranties or protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
[TODO: Obtain legal review of any additional warranty disclaimers before launch.]
17. Liability and indemnification
[TODO: Confirm enforceable liability limitations, any financial cap, exceptions for non-excludable liability, and whether a narrowly scoped indemnification provision is appropriate for the intended customers and jurisdictions before launch.]
18. Changes to these terms
The date above identifies the latest revision. [TODO: Confirm notice, effective-date, and acceptance procedures for material changes before launch.]
19. Governing law and disputes
[TODO: Confirm governing law and jurisdiction before launch] [TODO: Confirm dispute-resolution procedures and applicable consumer protections.]
